Audio Production Basics
This website is created for students from San Francisco State University’s Audio Production Basics (BECA 231) course in the Broadcast Electronic Arts Communication Major access to online. You will use this private website to access course content, such as the syllabus, modules, and download links for Pro Tools (audio program), readings, videos, and audio resources.
Each module will contain readings, videos, presentations, and activities designed to assist students in understanding the chosen topic prior to the class meetings. The modules will aid your understanding in sound physics, digital signal processing, recording studios, film sound, and music production. The Audio Production Basics also has a required lab component where students will engage in audio recording and post production practices using the equipment provided from the BECA department’s equipment room.
Upon completion of this course, students will be prepared to take any audio course in the BECA department for both the audio for video sequence and audio production courses.
