Module 4: Time-Based Processors
This module will introduce you to a category of effects called time-based processors. This includes several tools, but we will focus on two; reverb and delays. As you will read, reverb is tool used to place a sound source in a room or ambient environment. For example, if you record a vocal, you can make that vocal track sound as if you are speaking in a reflective cathedral. Delays are also considered time-based processors because they are essentially a tool to manipulate time. Delays are synonymous with echoes where you hear a repeated reflection. By the end of this module, you should know the main parameters of reverbs and delays and use the tools to achieve you aesthetic goals for sound design, music production, and beyond.
